Nigel was a wealth of knowledge, he helped me in so many ways. With my interviewing skills, resume building, posture and overall comfort in speaking on zoom, being able to share my experiences in story format. From the time we started working together it took my 6 months to land my first tech job! Definitely recommend Nigel as a teacher for anyone trying to break into tech and switch career fields.

Nigel provided support as a mentor. We spoke about a variety of topics including doubts and fears, roles to apply to, companies to target, resume redo, analyzing offers received, etc. I found his help invaluable when talking through my thoughts and what actions I should take. In the end of my job hunt, Nigel was instrumental in helping me decide on the best company to join.

Nigel helped me in a lot of ways. He is very personable and easy to connect with, which is what made learning from him so fun. Helps you highlight your strengths and focus on your areas of improvement. Many of us who joined careerist did not have a technical background so there was a lot of imposter syndrome and sense of not belonging at the beginning. Nigel and the rest team did a great job of helping myself and other students build that confidence and prepare us for the beginning of our journeys in tech. There were times after the course where he would reach out to ask about my job search and hold me accountable if I was not putting my best foot forward. His best advice to me was that sometimes you need to take a step back before going forward. For me that looked like getting a role as an SDR to gain the experience and knowledge I needed to help propel me in the world of software sales. Thank you for everything Nigel!
